“The universe sends us certain souls to remind us that love and loyalty never fade — souls who appear in our lives not by chance, but by divine design. They walk beside us through trials and joys alike, offering quiet strength, unwavering support, and a reminder that true connection is eternal. In their presence, we see that love is not fleeting, and loyalty is not conditional — it is the gentle, enduring force that sustains our hearts.”
NTERY is more than a collection of songs — it’s a deeply felt musical voyage, a meeting point between tradition and modernity, memory and movement. Guided by the voices and visions of Mariama Kouyaté and Vieux Cissokho, the project is rooted in the Griot heritage of West Africa, yet stretches confidently across genres and geographies.
Each track on NTERY is an “entry” — into a story, a soundscape, a cultural reflection. With powerful vocals, intricate kora melodies, grounded grooves, and rich instrumentation, the album draws listeners into a borderless musical conversation.
Mariama Kouyaté brings her griotte heritage to life through soulful, commanding vocals that honor storytelling traditions while embracing modern expression.
Vieux Cissokho, a master kora player and vocalist from Senegal, contributes his virtuosic string work and deep musicality, bridging the ancestral with the contemporary.
Together, they are joined by an exceptional core ensemble:
• Mamour Seck – drums
• Benson Itoe – bass guitar
• Issa Ndiaye – acoustic guitar
• Pape Demba Cissoko – percussion
This collective forms the rhythmic and harmonic backbone of NTERY, blending organic grooves and melodic nuance with global sensibility.
Guest Artists

• Djily Fall – vocals
• Babacar Faye – percussion
• Pape Meissa Mbow – keyboard
• Piotr Paluch – piano
